We are delighted that you have found us on the web!
We are an Anglo-Catholic parish within the Church of England (Anglican).
We unite in the spirit of Jesus risen from the dead. Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed at Christ Church. And once here, we pray that people will meet God in Christ.
We are a parish of well over 8 thousand inhabitants on the very edge of Chester Diocese and in the south of Warrington. The church, built in 1861, stands to the south of the old village now a district of the greater town.
Next door is the “Schoolroom” which is the parish hall where the parish started. About half a mile away you can find St. Margaret’s Community Centre. This was once a chapel of ease to Christ Church and is situated in the middle of the housing estate which takes up half of the parish.
Should you wish to know more about us come along on a Sunday and stay after the service for an informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20).
